Parkinson’s Causing Painful or Stiff Wrists? This Is How You Modify Your Exercises

One of the cardinal signs of Parkinson’s disease (PD) is rigidity, with the wrist being one of the joints most affected by stiffness. When the wrist is stiff, it greatly impacts activities of daily living and, consequently, your quality of life.

With the majority of people with PD being older, they may also have arthritis in the wrist and thumb joint, making it difficult to put weight on their hands to do some exercises.

Whether you are young-onset or older when you get PD, it’s always good to maintain good function of the hands and wrists.

I have a couple of videos, plus my hand course, to help with “lubing” up the wrist joint.

This video is about how to avoid aggravating your wrists with simple modifications when your wrists are too painful or stiff to perform floor exercises.
