Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Cranberry Sparkler

Remembering Mike Heffernan

Mike Heffernan & Kimberly BergToday I say good-bye to my friend Mike. He has followed me and supported me. If I said “Mike, I am giving a talk” or “the media is going to be there” he would always be in the audience cheering me on, ready to be interviewed about how great his coach is. We were the same age and he had Parkinson’s. He lived fast and fought hard. We loved our fellow fighter, Mike (“Psycho Mikeo”).

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Kimberly Berg to apply to the Mike Heffernan “Fund a Fighter” program, which helps people with PD who can’t afford to join the fight team, a fighting chance. Please make out any checks for this purpose to “Kimberly Berg LLC”. Continue reading “Remembering Mike Heffernan”

Instead, he’s going toe-to-toe with a very different kind of foe. He’s fighting Parkinson’s disease. Continue reading “Tigard Times Newspaper Article”
